What does AMG Performance Exhaust do?
As seen on the AMG GT, the performance exhaust system produces a varying sound based on your driving mode. Upshifts produce additional rumble while the aggressiveness of the sound can be manually adjusted, and four chrome tailpipes indicate the impressive level of exhaust technology.
Does a downpipe increase performance?
The best reason to buy a downpipe is that the performance gain is noticeable at a wide range of RPMs. While it's generally accepted that installing a downpipe will add "just" 10 to 20 horsepower, that gain is noticeable anytime the turbo is engaged. It adds up to a big increase in performance.
How much horsepower can a cold air intake add?
It makes such a big difference, in fact, that the simple process of redirecting the filter to draw cooler air is good for a horsepower gain of about 5 to 20 ponies in most cars. It might even improve your fuel efficiency, and it'll probably make your engine sound better, too.
So if you can get cooler air into your engine, your car will be able to mix more fuel with that air, making more power. Combine that with the more air through the larger and less restrictive filter and intake tube and you can see up to a 10-15 horsepower increase.
